Dr. Jara is spot on. I believe never before in education have teachers faced such challenges and threats to their sanity, professionalism, and day-to-day work. Our nation and the world have become polarized to such an extent that many can’t see and value these and other front-line workers, giving their best every day in spite of.
Teaching is an honorable profession. It shapes our future leaders. That in itself is reason to give the highest praise and support to those in educational settings. I wrote this book to share my professional journey and to inspire others to continue with this all-important work.
